Academy of Maritime Education and Training University (AMETU) offers following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 12th Standard or its equivalent, with minimum 50% marks for OC and 45% marks for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board.

Age: Not more than 25 years at the time of commencement of the program.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Examination / Personal Interview.

Lateral Entry -Duration 3 year: 

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
• Diploma in Electronics a& Communication Engineering (ECE)
• Diploma in Electronic & Instrumentation (EIE)
• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control (I.C.E)

The above stream candidates should have minimum 60% marks.

Good Communication and Writing skills in English.

B.E. Marine Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass in 12th Standard or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.

Age: Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the program.

Medical Standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to 6/12 in both eyes or 6/9 in better eye, 6/18 in other eye and with no colour blindness.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Written/ Personal Interview/ Medical Examination.

B.E. Mechanical Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 12th Standard or its equivalent, with minimum 50% Marks for OC and 45% Marks for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board.

Minimum 50% marks in the English either in +2 or 10th required.

B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or its equivalent, with minimum 50% Marks for OC and 45% for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Examination / Personal Interview / JEE / AIEEE students will be given preference.

Lateral Entry - Duration 3 year:  Candidates holding

a) Diploma Mechanical / Civil Engineering Students are eligible to be admitted in second year of the study.

b) B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics / Physics graduates are eligible to be admitted in second year of the study.

A pass in 12th standard or its equivalent, with minimum 50% marks for OC and 45% for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board.

B.E. Petroleum Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or its equivalent, with minimum 50% marks for OC and 45% for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board. 

Lateral Entry - Duration 3 year: B.Sc Degree in Geology or Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 60% Marks.

Good Communication and Writing skills in English and basic knowledge of computer science are essential Boys and Girls are eligible to apply.

B.E. Mining Engineering (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam  or its equivalent, with minimum 50% Marks for OC and 45% Marks for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized board.

Minimum 50% marks in the English either in +2 or 10th exam required.

B.Tech. Food Processing Technology (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. in Nautical Science (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.

M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree in Science (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics tech), Agriculture and Medicine with minimum 55% marks and Life Sciences/ Biology as Main/ Ancillary subject. 

Selection Process: Candidate who have secured valid score in Bachelor's Degree exam will be called for Personal interview.

M.E. Naval Achitecture & Offshore Engineering (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Building, Petroleum, Marine Engineering, Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Production & Industrial Engineering.

M.E. Power system Engineering (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engg, Electronics and Communication Engg, Electronics and Instrumentation Engg, Instrumentation and Control Engg, Electrical and Electronics Engg-Marine, Marine Engg, Naval Arch and Offshore Engg, Ocean Engg, Petroleum Engg, Harbour Engg.

M.E. Structural Engineering and Construction (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in

• Civil Engineering
• Civil and Structural Engineering
• Civil and Construction Engineering

with a minimum aggregate score of 55%.

Campus: Application Forms can be collected from our Campus/ City Office on all days except Sundays/ National Holidays from 9 am to 7 pm. Please bring Rs. 1,000/- cash or Bank Draft for Rs. 1,000/- drawn on Chennai favouring Amet University. 

By Post: Application forms can be obtained through Post/ Courier. Please obtain a Bank draft drawn on Chennai for Rs. 1,000/- favouring Amet University  and courier it to institute ( to institute City office address given below).

Bank Branches: You can also walk in to select Bank branches of Indian Overseas Bank and Corporation Bank, pay Rs. 1,000/- at the counter and collect the full Prospectus Set.
