Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT): Admission 2021

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) offers following program for the academic year 2021-2022

MBA in International Business  (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50% marks.

In case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by precribed date.

There is no age limit for appearing in this examination.

Admission of any candidate who joins the program on provisional basis but fails to obtain minimum percentage in the Bachelor’s Degree examination will be automatically cancelled forthwith.

For Foreign Nationals/NRI Candidates:

Recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration with minimum 50% marks. 

Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 7 th October 2021.

In order to qualify as an international candidate for the purpose of applying to IIFT entrance exam, a candidate should have been (expected to be) resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2020 and be outside India during the IIFT examination window. The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with the application a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2020.

NRI-Sponsored candidates and Children of NRIs are not considered under this category.

Selection Process:  On the basis of Written test IIFT MBA (IB), Group Discussion and Interview.

Please note that Category once filled by the candidate in his / her online application, will not be changed under any circumstances.

Candidates can apply for IIFT MBA(IB) 2021-23 through “Online” mode only.

Submission of Online Application Form may be done through NTA website https://iift.nta.nic.in.

The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using unique Email ID and Mobile No.

Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.

Step-3: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (file size: 10 kb - 200 kb), Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb) and Copy of Certificate indicating Category and/or Subcategory, as applicable. (PwD) (file size: 50kb -300kb). All documents uploaded should be in JPG/JPEG format.

Step-4: Pay fee using ICICI/PAYTM Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/PAYTM and keep proof of fee paid. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

Download save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference. 

Mode of Admission for Foreign Nationals/NRI Candidates

A separate on-line window for NRIs/Foreign nationals only will be opened from 15.01.2021 to 15.03.2021, for submission of their application. NRIs/Foreign nationals may submit theirapplications and pay the fee on-line during that period.

• Filled in CV Form.

• Copy of latest GMAT score certificate.

• Attested copy of all academic mark-sheets/certificates (Class X, XII & Graduation).

• Copy of all Passport pages having official entries.

• An undertaking that the candidate has not appeared for any MBA entrance examination for the academic year 2021-22 examination such as CAT/XAT/IIFT, etc.

• Two letters of recommendation(s), preferably, one of these should be written by a current supervisor or manager. The second one should be from someone who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s professional performance as well as his / her managerial and leadership potential. No letter of recommendation should be written by immediate family members, e.g. parents, grandparents, siblings or spouse.

IIFT: MBA (IB) Important Dates 2021

Executive PG Diploma in International Business (EPGDIB) (18 Months)

 Eligibility: Candidate should hold

(i) Post Graduate Degree/ Engineering Degree.

Or

equivalent from any recognized university or Institution.Managerial work experience of not less than 3 years.

Or

(ii) Graduation or equivalent Degree form any recognized university or institution.

Managerial work experience of not less than 5 years.

Only the work experience after eligibility qualifications as on 31st July of the year when the programme is advertised is considered.

Company sponsorship or No Objection Certificate from the employer is required.

No Age limit.

Selection Process:  Selection will be on the basis of GD, Essay writing and interview.

Seats are reserved for SC/ST/PH/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates as per Government of India rules.

IIFT: EPGDIB Admission Process 2021

Register Online :

• Click on "Apply Now" and choose the category under which you want to apply.
• Fill in the basic details required for registration and submit the form.
• Once submitted, Application number will be generated and intimated through an email sent to the registered email id.
• Log in to the website using the Application No. mentioned in the email and Password entered by you while registering.
• Follow the links to complete the registration process.
• Once completed, the intimation regarding successful registration will be sent to the registered email id.

Registration fee :

• General/OBC candidates :  Rs.  2000/-
• SC/ST/PH candidates :  Rs. 1000/-
• Foreign National/NRI/Children of NRI candidates :  US$ 80 (Rs.  4500/-)

Mode(s) of payment:

Mode 1:  Online Payment Gateway - Through Credit/Debit Cards (VISA/Master)

Mode 2: Demand Draft - Applicant has to get a DD made in favour of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE, payable at NEW DELHI, since the candidate is required to fill in the details of the Demand Draft in the online application form.

M.A. in Economics (2 year)

Eligibility:  Indian national applicants must hold Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% aggregate in any relevant discipline.

Minimum 45% aggregate is required from SC / ST / PwD category students.

Foreign nationals must have a CGPA of 4 on a 5 point scale and 8 on a 10 point scale.

Students in their final year of study are eligible to apply.

Only those admissions would be final where students submit their final marksheets to secure their seat.

Selection Criteria

International Candidates: They would be selected based upon their applications by the faculty members. 

Domestic Candidates:  They have two strages as follows: 

STAGE I: Written Admission Test at IIFT Delhi. 

Applicants would be called for an objective aptitude test and a descriptive type test. Qualifying which will decide their entry to the final round. 

STAGE II: Final Selection 

Upon qualifying for the first stage, the applicants will be shortlisted to appear for an interview at IIFT Delhi campus for final screening.
