The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) was established in the year1962 under the provisions of the Orissa Act, 20 of 1961 and discharges the triple functionsof teaching, research and extension education.

The University offers education in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science & AnimalHusbandry, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Fishery Science, Community Scienceand Forestry in the semester system at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Research and Extension programs are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/ Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK)located in different parts of the state.

The applicant has to submit online applicationForm A and Form B through website www.ouat.nic.in (Admission, Candidate login) orhttp://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in through student login. Candidate has to login providing e-mail,mobile number and OTP to submit Form A and Form B.

The candidate has to login to edit Form A & Form B, download acknowledgement of Form A and B, admit card, entrance mark, weighatge &rank card, seat allotment letter etc.

About exam

The Entrance Examination will be of multiple choice question (MCQ) for 200 marks of two hoursduration and the medium of Examination will be English. Each question carries one mark.

Candidates are to answer Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology.

There is no negative marks for wrong answer.

Weightage to Academic Career and Entrance Examination

 1/4th of the total mark secured in the Entrance Examination.

The HSC marks and 10+2 Science/equivalent mark in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology (whichever is higher) will be taken in to account for calculation of weightage.

In case of candidates who have passed any of the examinations compartmentally, average marksof the 1st and 2nd examinations will be taken for computation of the weighted score. Candidatesare advised to enter marks accordingly in Form-B.

If a candidate has secured 58% marks in HSC/ equivalent, 67% marks in Physics, Chemistryand Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 Science and 124 marks out of 200 inthe Entrance Test, his/her weighted score is 0.25X 58+0.25 X67+ 0.25X 124 =62.250. Theweighted score will be calculated up to three decimal numbers. 

Note: Candidates under Kashmir migrants, Kashmir pundits/Kashmir Hindus (Non migrant)and J&K PMSSS quota are exempted from appearing the entrance examination. 

Candidate has to apply online only.

Submission of online Application Form-B is compulsory for admission into U.G Courses under OUAT. 

Candidate should submit Form-B online visiting the website www.ouat.nic.in orhttp://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in by logging in through the e-mail & mobile number. The candidates are advised to submit application Form-B online within the stipulated date asmentioned below. The candidate is to fill up details of academic qualification and upload a self declaration that he/she will produce the relevant documents in original from competent authority at the time of document verification and admission. After successful submission of Application Form-B, a confirmation SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail. The candidates are advised to take a print out of Application Form-B for future use. The weightage, and rank card can be downloaded from website www.ouat.nic.in orhttp://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in by logging in. Each time the candidate desires to accessor download anything, he/she has to login through the above mentioned website. 

The candidates are advised not to send any hard copy of the application anddocuments to the University.

The selected candidates are advised to bring with him/her the downloaded applicationForm-B along with original and self attested photocopies of all relevant documents to the counseling for admission.

Candidate should pass 10+2 Science / equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate including extraoptional.

For SC/ST/PwD/PMSSS (for B.Sc (Hons) Ag at CA, BBSR) / KashmiriMigrant /Kashmiri Pundit (Non Migrant)/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non Migrant)candidates, it is 40%.

The candidate must complete 17 years of age by 31.12.2021. 

Reservation: ICAR/VCI - 15%, SC-8%, ST- 12 %, GCH-5%

 PwD (Persons with Disabilities)-5%, A.F.P. (Armed Forces Personnel) – 3% 

The candidate has to pay Rs. 1,500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) through internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card of any Bank.

Once candidate successfully pays the fee, he/she will receive a message confirming the acceptance of application in mobile phone and e-mail.

Fees, once paid, cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

After successful payment, the candidate should take printout of computer generated filled in application Form-A with payment details for future reference.

The prospectus for the Common Entrance Examination and Admission into Under Graduate Program 2021 - 22 is available in university website at www.ouat.nic.in. 

Interested candidate can visit official website and apply online. 

Visit admission section and click on “Student login” for UG admission 2021 or directly go to http://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in.

The candidate will log in giving his/her e-mail ID, mobile number, OTP sent to the mobile number & e-mail and Captcha code.

After login, the candidate will land on a window showing “Apply”, clicking on it application Form-A will appear and the candidate will fill up the application Form A.

At the time of submission of online application Form-A, the candidate has to fill in the particulars such as correct Aadhaar / Aadhaar Enrolment number (optional), personal information etc. and upload his/her recent passport size colour photograph (Height: 200px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum), full signature (Height: 100px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum) in jpg/jpeg format.

After submission of online application Form-A, an application number will be generated and sent to his/her mobile number & e-mail).

The candidate has to pay application fee after that he/she will receive a message confirming the acceptance of application in mobile phone and e-mail.

Fees, once paid, cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

After successful payment, the candidate should take printout of computer generated filled in application Form-A with payment details for future reference.

The Admit Card can to be downloaded from OUAT website (www.ouat.nic.in) or http://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in through a link with entry of application number and date of birth from 16.09.2021.

The candidate must bring the Admit card with original identity proofto the Examination Centre for verification.
